"Everyone in our Point6 tribe values the great outdoors, and we are ecstatic to continue to grow this line and add great partners to the roster of efforts we can support," said Point6 CEO and Founder Peter Duke.

Wild Playground Series socks are the perfect gift for the conservationist in your life. With these socks, you can proudly sport the organizations' logos that work to protect the places you love and appreciate.

"The NFF is thrilled to be working with Point6 to increase awareness and support for our amazing National Forests. When people can purchase high-quality gear that helps improve their experience outdoors while also benefiting the places they play, it’s a win-win," Greg Peters, NFF Director of Communications.

USA lovelist: made in USA socks, the ultimate source list

"POINT6 WOOL SOCKS FOR ALL OCCASIONS AND FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY

I love these socks for walking, standing on my feet, or exercising. Since these socks are made out of wool they are super soft and great for any conditions because they regulate heat and moisture.  I especially love Point6 compression socks – they are a must for those who stand on their feet a lot or do any air travel because they promote circulation in the legs. Check out all their American made socks for kids, men, and women. Point6 manufactures all of its socks in Tennessee and Alabama and are based out of Steamboat Springs, Colorado."

Reddy Yeti: 15 best hiking gear startups

"Point6 Hiking Socks: Regardless of the kind of hiking you are doing, you need socks that will protect your feet. That is exactly why we included Point6 on our list of the best hiking gear startups. Some may not consider them a startup, as they were founded in 2008 by the creators of SmartWool, Patty and Peter Duke. But with only 12 employees and such a high quality product, we couldn’t exclude them. Point6, which is named for 98.6 degrees F, utilizes only compact-spun Merino wool yarn -- a much tighter yarn than ring-spun yarn -- making for a much more comfortable and warmer sock. The wool is woven into a "matrix, or tic-tac-toe box," says Peter, to create a form-fitting product."
